Casa de Las Palmas is on Tortuga Beach and as the name suggest is a place were turtles come to lay their eggs every year. This magical phenomenon of nature -- an experience never to be forgotten -- happens from May to September.

The house itself is a 2-story post-and-beam cement home with polished concrete floors and a huge rooftop terrace with a stunning 360 view. The top floor is split into two bedrooms -- each with independent entrance and bathroom, one with a king bed, one with a queen and two singles. Both rooms have porches with breathtaking sea views.

The main floor has a large, airy bedroom with queen size bed, Juliette balcony, and private sink. A full bathroom is just across the hall. A spacious, modern kitchen has a breathtaking view of the sea as does the living room, which opens onto the outdoor dining area from which you step straight onto the white sand and walk 50 meters through swaying palms to the beach. Unique furniture, vibrant tropical colors, and lots of hammocks set the stage for relaxing and stimulating beachfront living.

There's no reason to leave, unless you want to explore one of many family-run, toes-in-the-sand restaurants and bars dotting the beach. And, luckily, Casa de Las Palmas is really close to La Zebra Restaurant and Tequila Bar, the sexiest place on the beach.
